Luciano Maggiore & Enrico Malatesta
Electro-Acoustic music, Sound Performances

Published sound-work

by Consumer Waste UK

Talabalàcco is the first collaboration by Luciano Maggiore and Enrico Malatesta. The pair have deliberately eschewed the process of duo improvisation, recording material independently and composing with these fragments, resulting in a refined and purposeful combination of electronic and acoustic textures. The composition unfolds episodically, appearing to deny musical structure, but maintaining an incisive impact as its chapters accumulate.

Christian Wolfarth & Enrico Malatesta

Christian Wolfarth – cymbals
Enrico Malatesta – cymbals – percussion

The duo featuring Enrico Malatesta and Christian Wolfarth is active since spring 2009 and works in the field of contemporary improvised music. Keeping the aleatoric process as a point of departure to create and think of music, the duo works in a specific instrumental area where simplicity and composure are foundations from which to expand the possibilities of percussion instruments in instant compositions full of identity and character. Strictly acoustic, this project wants to deepen the use of percussions as multiple sound sources; the resonances, the ghost sounds and the extreme care for gesture and detail represent the fulcrum of a sonic action which does not miss the physical element of percussion instruments, but rather uses a refined dynamic, where the condition of silence plays a leading role.
