Frequente is an organization, based in Milan and devoted to sound arts. It aims to deepen and share the practice of sound, attentive with regard to contemporary art, architecture and music.
We promote the research and the artistic production, with particularly attention accorded to educational programs, spatial practices, workshops, lectures, performances and projects able to enlarge the horizons of sound matters and to intensify the auditive culture. Frequente is addressed to encourage international collaborations, in order to support artists mobility and the professional dialogue, with the aim to introduce an Italian pole on the international network of venues specifically addressed to sound arts.
Frequente acts as project space for contemporary art and as independent center for research, through curatorial practice, didactic activities, live performances and sound related publishing.
It is a project run by the artists Nicola Ratti, Enrico Malatesta, Attila Faravelli and the curator Gaia Martino, in collaboration with Standards Studio in Milan.
